Great St. James and Little St. James are privately owned islands on the southeast side of St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. Great St. James is known for Christmas Cove on the island’s west side, one of the most popular snorkel spots with tons of colorful fish and very healthy coral. Christmas Cove is also home to the famous floating pizza boat called Pizza PI, which has a great menu and a full bar with delicious craft cocktails and fresh pizza.

The cove is very protected from the elements and is always a nice calm spot to relax and soak up some vitamin D. We see lots of turtles and marine life here, and there are a few resident spotted eagle rays that swim by from time to time.

The neighboring island Little St. James was home to Jeffrey Epstein for many years. His estate has since sold the islands for $50,000. A family from St. Thomas bought both islands and now lives there full time. Little St. James has a handful of beautiful snorkel spots, and the water is an amazing aqua blue color. Both islands are a popular spot for day charters to cruise around and take in all the sights.

We did not know what was happening on the island until recently when all these stories came out in the news. We definitely do not approve of that stuff at all, but we cannot deny that the coral reefs and water surrounding this area are absolutely stunning.

Pizza PI
Located at Christmas Cove on the Island of Great St. James, Pizza PI is a top pick for a fresh pizza on the water. Hang out on the floats or on your boat, and enjoy the floating pizza boat. The owners of Pizza PI purchased a sailboat and turned it into the ultimate lunch destination. We always love to call in our order ahead of time, so when we arrive the pizza is ready to go. There is also amazing snorkeling in the cove, so feel free to snorkel while the pizza is cooking. Christmas Cove is home to tons of beautiful fish and coral. There are two spotted eagle rays that live in the area, so there’s a good chance of seeing one while at Christmas Cove. Pizza PI has regular pizza and also a gluten free option. We keep menus on board, so ask your Captain when you arrive to the marina, and you can check out the menu.

Lime Out Floating Taco Boat
If you’re looking to enjoy fresh tacos and float in the blue Caribbean sea, the Lime Out Taco boat is a must see. White Bay

The star attraction! A stunning white-sand beach lined with famous beach bars and calm turquoise water perfect for swimming or floating with a drink in hand. The Baths are a unique natural area on the southwestern end of Virgin Gorda, where giant granite boulders are scattered across the beach and shoreline, forming caves, grottos, and tidal pools that are incredibly fun to explore. These massive rocks rest on a stunning white sand beach with crystal clear water and breathtaking views.

Designated as a National Park in 1990, The Baths are geologically distinct from most Caribbean islands, which are volcanic. The granite boulders originated as hot magma that cooled beneath the earth’s surface and, over millions of years of erosion, were shaped into the dramatic formations you see today.

A descending trail leads visitors down to the beach, where a few small concessions offer cold drinks, snacks, and restrooms. There’s a small fee to enter the park upon arrival.

This is a fantastic spot for visitors of all ages. Be sure to wear a swimsuit and bring plenty of water. You’ll find two beautiful beaches to explore: Spring Bay and Devils Bay. If possible, try to visit on a non ship day to avoid the crowds.
