Slow Season Charters
August 11, 2025Slow season is one of the best times to go boating in the US and British Virgin Islands.
Calm winds and warm ocean temperatures make for perfect conditions on the water. As summer winds down, Nate’s Custom Charters is open and ready to give you an epic day without the crowds, offering endless options for your adventure.
If you’re looking for the best snorkeling on the US side, Nate and his team know all the top spots. Favorites include Maho Bay with its many turtles, Christmas Cove with its shipwreck, and Leinster Bay. If you’d like to cross into the British Virgin Islands, Norman Island is home to the world-famous Indian Rocks and Treasure Caves. With the ideal marine conditions this time of year, all the snorkel spots are incredible.
If you’re more into beaches and stunning scenery, we can explore the St. John National Park. Little Cinnamon is one of our favorites, offering pristine sand and the chance to have the beach all to yourself. Our boat is specially designed to access very shallow waters where most boats cannot go, giving you exclusive access to secret spots our team loves to share.
If everyone in your group has a valid passport, we can plan a great day visiting Jost Van Dyke, home to the Soggy Dollar Bar. This charming island has just 200 full-time residents and several breathtaking beaches. Another must-see is Sandy Spit, a tiny island with one palm tree and the filming location of the original Corona commercial.
For those up for a longer ride, we can visit the Baths, giant granite boulders scattered along the beach, forming caves and grottos to explore. Whether you stay on the US side or cross over into the British Virgin Islands, Nate’s Custom Charters will make sure your day is unforgettable.
Our boat is designed for comfort, with plenty of shade and a custom-built ladder for easy boarding. All of our captains are fun, friendly, and ready to make the day special for you and your party.
